Dreams Do Come True

There’s a place, a place where I long to visit. A place where the sky is not the limit but is just the starting line. A place where we can deny the facts and create a new truth, a new reality. A place where it didn’t really matter who you are or where you come from. Instead, we would be judged upon how far our imagination stretched. A place where sinners would be punished shrewdly, and not just for the sake of ‘violence’ or ‘torture’. For instance, if I ruled this place, I’d make burglars count grains of sand, and thieves bloat themselves on piles of chocolate cake. Not necessarily brutal, but clever at that. I’d ban vehicles, and only allow iridescent horses as rides and escorts. Lying would be an option at desperate times, for I’d know how a person would feel when being caught in the act. I would also ban executions. I, as a person, cannot end a life that I don’t own. Nobody really owns any other human being’s life, so who am I to end a life of another? In this place, earwax cupcakes would be known as the official meal of the royals, and cat blood would be the official drink. No alcohol is prohibited of course, but I assume my fellow subjects and people would crave a liquid that’ll drug their senses, so I figured out an alternative; melted chocolate. Based on my experiences, chocolate has never failed to put me in a happy place, and I assume it has done a rather good job with most of you.

‘Wake up Dubai, it’s time for school!’ a loud voice went hammering into my very ears, as I opened my eyes to find myself in my rather normal room, in my normal life. Who knew that the place I longed for was within my dreams. On the other hand, and as they all say, dreams do come true.
