Art Knows No Language

Sure, leave it to a foreign film to teach me this lesson.
I've previously written about the Bollywood movie 'Saawariya', that I only recently saw. Yeah, the vibe is still here, I still can't seem to get this movie out of my head. Some think I'm paranoid, but yeah, you gotta be a little cracked to secure your place in the Art world. I have a passion for musicals, a strong strong passion at that. Even though I couldn't fully understand the words of Saawariya's music (Yes, there were subtitles provided), but I was truly moved. This taught me that art truly doesn't understand no language, it's a got a language on it's own; a language only artists can comprehend. A language that doesn't use words, but uses tunes; soft melodious tunes. Tunes that perch in the soul, staying there for a long long time. No, I'm not trying to be metaphoric, its just that I can't find the words to describe the feeling I have when I watch musicals, or in this case, watched Saawariya and learned a valuable lesson. Even though the movie wasn't in English, my second language, nor Arabic, my first, my Artistic senses didn't seem to mind that fact. That's the thing with art, we all communicate through it and comprehend each other, despite our background, language, or race. Music, oh the power of music, where shall I start? My soul feels trapped by my very body when I hear a great piece of music, mostly from musicals, it feels like a cage. I really have no idea whether It's just me, or some of you out there understand what I mean, but one thing's for sure, I so wish my life was a musical.
