A Ferris Wheel, what a great example it is. We enter the cabins, starting from the ground, and slowly ascending. As soon as we almost reach the very top, the cabin stops as we start to moan and complain. A few curses later, we ascend once more, finally satisfied. We then reach the very top, happy and jubilated, admiring the awesome view and the fresh air that made it's way through our now racing hearts. We feel power, freedom; infinite freedom. Just when we feel at our very best, we start to descend with frowns plastered to our very faces. We reach the very ground, then go back up again; a massive shift in emotions. That, my fellow readers, is life. We must start from the very ground, to reach the very top. The ironic thing in it, is that at some point we must go down again, and little do we know, we're back up again!
One must remember, that the ferris wheel doesn't move according to our desires, but to the man controlling it from the control room. In life, it's controlled by the one above, and we must trust that he'll guide us through it all. I mean, the view would be worth the wait, don't you think?
Lovely Dubai, beautifully written and nicely presented. May your Ferris Wheel stays "UP" for longer than you imagine..
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Dots! I really appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteInshallah! Same goes to you :)
Mashallah !! Its great , your ferries wheel somehow is similar to the foot ball match :P
ReplyDeleteLife is not about winning all the time ; human beings from different races are living like a football match in the field. One day you win , and the other you lose, because you didn’t know how to pass the ball, or you weren’t a good coach in planning the game. Serious things happen in life where you think you gave enough , and you didn’t get the reward or were named as the number one . Players do not always see the results. Sometimes the whistle in the middle of the game seems unfair , but on the other hand , it’s the beginning of a new chance.
Very true Hessah!
